Scripture
All scripture is the authoritative, infallible written Word of God. It is the revelation of God and His plan of salvation which comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
God
There is one God who is infinite, eternal, almighty one, perfect in holiness, truth , and love. He exists in three persons, God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
God the Father
God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth. He rules over all for His glory’s sake. He is Sovereign, faithful to keep his promises, and full of grace and mercy. He gave his Son Jesus Christ as a sacrifice to redeem man.
Jesus Christ
The Son of God came to live among man on earth. He was fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life, died a horrid death on the cross taking upon himself the sins of all mankind, and rose from the dead three days later. His death paid the consequence for our sins, reconciling us to God. He ascended into heaven where he sits at God’s right hand interceding for his people.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Lord and Giver of life. He moves among the people, convicting man of sin and uniting them to Jesus Christ in faith. He indwells believers, empowering them for Christian witness and service.
The Gospel
Jesus Christ is the gospel. Through his birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension He became the sacrifice to God for our sins. The Holy Spirit draws man to an understanding of his inadequacy to save himself apart from God and thus his need for Jesus Christ. Anyone repenting of their sin is declared righteous by God. Salvation is a free gift and cannot be earned by man’s works.
